Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf opens its 11th season as a program on Monday, participating in the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston and held at the Yeamans Hall Club in Hanahan, S.C.
Seventeen teams will open play on Monday, starting with 36 holes of continuous play after an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The teams will again play a shotgun start on Tuesday, but this time just one, 18-hole final round with an 8:45 a.m. start.
Clemson is joined in the tournament by fellow South Carolina schools Furman and tournament-host CofC, as well as fellow ACC schools Miami and NC State. The rest of the field includes UCF, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Junior Katherine Schuster leads the Tigers’ lineup after shining in three rounds of team qualifying. Annabelle Pancake is coming off a terrific summer and looks to continue that momentum into her senior season, followed by junior Chloe Holder. Savannah Grewal, who is currently going through LPGA Q School and coming off a win in Stage I, and Isabella Rawl round out the opening lineup for the Tigers.
