LOS ANGELES – UCLA women’s golfer Zoe Antoinette Campos will compete in her first U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links. She will tee off for round one on Thursday, July 6 at 7:44 a.m. (PT).
After seven attempts to qualify, rising junior earned a spot in her first-ever U.S. Women’s Open after finishing second in her qualifying round at Valencia Country Club with a score of even par, 144 (71-73).
“I’m definitely looking forward to this amazing experience,” Campos said. “With this being my first U.S. Open after the years I’ve been trying to get in and it’s at Pebble Beach – I think it’s awesome. I am excited to compete at one of the most legendary courses in the World and to represent UCLA while doing it.”

Campos’ practice round will be Wednesday, July 5. Running through Sunday, July 9, the U.S. Women’s Open at historic Pebble Beach Golf Links will play a par 72 with a course yardage of 6,505. Among the 156 competitors in this year’s major championship event are seven Bruins: Campos, Bronte Law, Alison Lee, Ryann O’Toole, Emma Spitz, Patty Tavatanakit and Lilia Vu.
Earlier this offseason, Campos helped Team USA win the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup, 32-28, at Laurel Valley Golf Club as one of just three golfers and the only Team USA woman to finish unbeaten (2-0-2). Campos also earned a spot at the 123rd U.S. Women’s Amateur after qualifying as an alternate at Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West, Ariz. with a score of 1-under 71.
In her sophomore 2022-23 season, Campos was a consensus First Team All-American, named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and listed as an ANNIKA Award Top 10 Finalist. Her 71.42 scoring average led the Bruins and ranked sixth all-time for a single season in UCLA history. Campos also led UCLA with eight top 10 finishes, including two wins at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic and Silverado Showdown.
