Women’s Golf Set For Illini Women’s Invitational

MEDINAH, Ill. – No. 8 Ole Miss women’s golf is set to make a trip to Medinah, Illinois, for the Illini Women’s Invitational, hosted at the Medinah Country Club, from Oct. 9-10.

15 total teams will participate in the fifth annual fixture including the Rebels, who are making their first trip back to the tournament since the team’s second place finish in 2019.

The tournament will consist of 54 total holes of stroke play beginning with 36 holes scheduled to be played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

Monday, Oct. 9 – 36 holes (Shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m. CT)

Tuesday, Oct. 10 – 18 holes (Shotgun start scheduled for 9:00 a.m. CT)

Caitlyn Macnab (Jr.) – Johannesburg, South Africa

• Leads team with stroke average of 67.83 in 2023-24
• Captured Mason Rudolph Championship Individual Title
• Named SEC Women’s Golfer of the Week on Sept. 27
• Finished top-5 in both tournaments this fall
• Tied for second lowest round score in program history (65) at Cougar Classic

Andrea Lignell (Sr.) – Gothenburg, Sweden

• Enters Medinah with season stroke average of 69.83 in 2023-24
• Finished tied for ninth place at the Mason Rudolph Championship after tying a career-low round of 66
• Tied for 20^th on the individual leaderboard at the season-opening tournament
• Ranked second individually in par-5 scoring (-6) at Cougar Classic
• Named to ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List

Natacha Host Husted (Jr.) – Copenhagen, Denmark

• Carries a 70.33 season stroke average in 2023-24
• Secured eighth place at the Cougar Classic, marking second career top-10 finish
• Shot 3-under par (68) in all three rounds of Cougar Classic
• 2021-22 SEC All-Freshman Team
• Represented Team Denmark at the 2021 Spirit International Golf Championship

Justine Fournand (Sr.) – Erstein, France

• Currently shooting a season stroke average of 71.17 in 2023-24
• Grabbed a tie for fifth at the season-opening Cougar Classic
• At the Cougar Classic, recorded a career-low 54-hole total with a score of 203
• Tied her career-low round score of 67 (-4) in her first appearance as a Rebel
• 2021 Landfill Tradition Champion

Sophie Linder (Fr.) – Carthage, Tennessee

• Holds a 72.50 stroke average in the 2023-24 season
