HONOLULU, Hawaii – Following two weeks off, the No. 16 Mississippi State men’s golf team will close its fall slate of tournaments at the Kapolei Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii.
The Bulldogs will play 54 holes over three days on the par 72, 7,001-yard course at the Kapolei Golf Club on the island of Oahu.
Mississippi State is the sole ranked team in the 19-team field that also includes host Hawaii, Army, Baylor, and BYU.
The Bulldogs are set to tee off at 1 p.m. CT on Tuesday to start the first round. State’s lineup will again feature the same five men who competed at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational and the Fallen Oak Collegiate. The Bulldogs will be represented by Hunter Logan, Josep Serra, Garrett Endicott, Pedro Cruz Silva and Harrison Davis. The five players included in team scoring will also be joined by Alex Pedryc who is appearing in his second tournament this season.
Logan has shot par or better in seven of 11 rounds this season which is tied for most on the team. Six of those rounds have been in the 60s, which is the most on the team, and he has finished inside the top-three twice this season.
Serra moves up into the No. 2 spot for the Bulldogs after competing in both the Nos. 3 and 4 positions earlier this season. He ranks among the top 10 in the SEC with a 70.18 stroke average this fall. He also has matched Logan with seven rounds of par or better play this season. In his last tournament, Serra earned the first top-three finish of his Division I career, finishing tied for third at the Fallen Oak Collegiate.
Five of Endicott’s rounds this season have been par or lower, and four of those rounds have been in the 60s, good for second best on the team. He has earned two top-20 finishes this season.
Davis rises into the No. 4 spot for the Bulldogs following his second straight top-20 finish. Earlier this season, Davis earned his best finish since the 2021-22 season with an 11th place finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
Cruz Silva returns to the No. 5 spot to round out the lineup. He finished tied for sixth at 1-under after two rounds at the weather-shortened Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Cruz Silva has shot par or better in four of his last six rounds.
Pedryc will compete individually in what is his second tournament of the year….
