AIKEN, SC — Junior Florian Huerlimann of the Maryland men’s golf team placed in the top 10 of The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Aiken, S.C., the best finish from a Terp this season.
Huerlimann finished the first round with a score of 69, which tied his career low. His second and third rounds both concluded with an even score of 72. He tied for eighth overall with a score of 213, which was +3.
Freshman Manato Nakatani earned a score of 216 (73-71-72) going +6 and finishing tied for 18th.
Freshman Yang Kuang shot a score of 222 (74-72-76). Graduate student Ben Cooper finished with a score of 227 (77-74-76). Sophomore Armand Papaziani shot a score of 231 (77-75-79).
As a team, the Terrapins finished 9th of 15 teams with a score of 878 (293-289-296).
Next up, the Terps will compete in the Landfall Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C., March 24-25.
