CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Maryland men’s golf team finished up competition Tuesday at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at Briarwood Golf Course.
Freshman Yang Kuang led the Terrapins in the event with a score of 215, which was +2 overall and tied him for 22nd. His second round was his best showing shooting one under with a 71. He wrapped up his first round shooting an even 71 and a 74 in the third round.
Junior Florian Huerlimann finished with a 218 (69-77-72) and tied for 34th. Senior Jack Woods closed out with a 221 (68-78-75). Sophomore Ronnie Kim, competing as an individual, also shot a 221 (75-73-73). Fifth-year Ben Cooper wrapped up with a score of 228 (74-76-78). Freshman Manato Nakatani finished with a score of 231 (76-72-83).
As a team, the Terrapins finished tied for 13th of 14 teams with a score of 876 (282-295-299).
Next weekend, the Terps head to Columbus, Ohio for the Robert Kepler Invitational at the Ohio State University Golf Course April 19-21.
