BELLEAIR, Fla. – Tennessee women’s golf finished the first of three rounds at the SEC Championship at the Pelican Golf Club on Friday.
Led by senior Kayla Holden, the Lady Vols shot 20-over (300) and sit in 13th place headed into Saturday’s second round. Holden used three birdies to shoot 1-over (73) and finish the day in 35th place.
Sophomore Manassanan Chotikabhukkana had one of the day’s three eagles, converting the par-5 14th hole in three shots. The Thailand native is tied for 39th place at 2-over (74).
Tennessee recorded the second-best team score on par 5s, shooting 4-under on such holes.
