PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington women’s golf team had, by far, its best round of the week, wrapping up the 2024 Pac-12 Championships with a team-score of 9-under 279. Three Huskies – Jamie Hsieh, Vivian Lu and Stefanie Deng – each carded a 3-under 69 in their final rounds.

Washington, which entered the final round at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in eighth place, moved up three spots to finish the tournament in fifth, with a three-day total of 1-over 865. UW’s third-round team score of 279 was the Huskies’ second lowest of the season.

Hsieh, Lu and Deng each among the 10 lowest individual rounds of the day.

“I’m really happy with our finish today,” said UW head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. “That was a total team effort. We played to our strengths today, which is par-5 scoring. I’m excited for the next couple of weeks.”

Hsieh finished the 54-hole championship in a tie for 11th place at 2-under for the tournament. On Tuesday, she recorded four birdies and just one bogey to earn her score.

Lu, a freshman, Â finished one stroke back of Hsieh, at 1-under and tied for 16th place overall. He scorecard included her second career eagle as a Husky, a on the par-5 17th hole. She also notched four birdies.

Deng, who improved by multiple strokes each round, finished in a tie for 32nd, at 4-over. Her Tuesday scorecard included one bogey, two birdies and an eagle on No. 9.

Senior Camille Boyd, was the lone player in the entire field to finish at even-par for the tournament, landing her in sole possession of 23rd place, thanks to an even-par 72 on Tuesday.

Tomorrow, the NCAA will announce the field for the 2024 NCAA Championships, on the Golf Channel at 11:00 a.m. PT. Washington is hosting one of six NCAA women’s regionals, May 6-8, at Tumble Creek G.C. in Cle Elum.
