It’s incredible to think that the adidas Tour 360 franchise is approaching its 20th anniversary, which is a real testament to the longevity and popularity of this fantastic adidas golf shoe.
In all honesty, I have not previously reviewed an adidas Tour360 golf shoe, so this was my chance to find out if this latest version, which has been completely redesigned, would live up to my expectations as one of the best women’s golf shoes on the market.
The Tour 360 24 is available in two colorways for women – cloud white/silver metallic or white/core black/green spark. I tested the latter and what immediately stands out on either side of the shoe is the adidas trademark of three black stripes. This does not just add to the overall styling, it’s a performance benefit too, but more on that later.
It’s not sporty looking like Duca del Cosma’s Alesi, or Puma’s Fusion Crush Sport, but I like the modern, cutting-edge design. As soon as you see the Tour 360 24, the combined design elements make you feel pretty confident that it’s going to perform very well, similar to the look and feel of FootJoy’s Pro/SL.
This shoe offers superb comfort, although I was advised to go up a size to what I usually wear and that was good advice. It’s really nicely cushioned, a combination of adidas’ technologies Lightstrike, that’s used in the forefoot and Jet Boost in the heel. To me, the footbed felt soft and spongy, so exactly what you want when playing golf and I would certainly describe these as one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women.
One of the unique design features is what adidas calls a Torsion Bridge, and in this case it’s the green spark color that sits across the mid-foot and forefoot. This bridge helps to improve stability, along with the black stripes I mentioned earlier, which are actually a 360Wrap support.
I must admit, over 18 holes I felt completely locked in and especially on slightly slippery surfaces, knowing that I was fully supported and stable, this shoe gave me the confidence to still exert the same level of power into my shots, without feeling at all tentative.
The outsole has a glossy finish and it does a great job of gripping the turf even in wet conditions, making these one of the best waterproof golf shoes for women.
