Nguyen Posts Top-20 Finish at Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C.  — The Northwestern women’s golf team tied for 14^th at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with a team score of +44 (896).

Lauryn Nguyen was the Wildcats’ top finisher coming in five shots over par for the event (218). She opened up with a score of 73 in her first two rounds before carding a 72 in Wednesday’s finale.

Northwestern will return to action at the end of the month when it travels to the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona. Kelly Sim will look to defend her crown after capturing the 2021 title at the event with a -5 (211).
