General Hackler Championship Results
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Penn State men’s golf junior Patrick Sheehan finished tied for seventh in a strong field as the 2022 General Hackler Championship concluded Monday at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
Sheehan secured his fifth top-10 finish of the 2021-22 season and sixth finish in the top 15 with his 7-under, 209, that was tied for seventh place. The junior wrapped up both the second and third rounds Monday at 2-under, 70, after shooting a 3-under, 69, in Sunday’s opening 18.
Graduate student Lou Olsakovsky placed tied for 45th at 3-over, 219. He carded a pair of even 72s in the first and second round before shooting 3-over, 75, in Monday’s third and final round.
Junior Jimmy Meyers tied for 72nd at 12-over, 228. Freshman Jake Griffin tied for 82nd at 15-over, 231. Freshman Morgan Lofland finished in 86th place at 21-over, 237.
The Nittany Lions finished 15th in the team field at 22-over, 886.
Penn State will have a month away from competition before returning to action in the Nittany Lions’ lone home event of the year. The 2022 Rutherford Intercollegiate is set for Saturday-Sunday April 16-17 at the Penn State Golf Course.
