Tiffany Joh, an 11-year LPGA Tour pro and four-time NCAA All-American with collegiate coaching experience, has been named a USC Women’s Golf Assistant Coach, Trojan fifth-year Head Coach Justin Silverstein announced today.
“We are so fired up to welcome Tiffany to the Trojan Family,” Silverstein said. “Tiffany brings an incredible wealth of playing experience with over a decade on the LPGA Tour while being one of the finest collegiate/amateur golfers in the world.
“Her energy and passion for the game is infectious, as is her famous sense of humor, and I think that combined with her perspective on balancing academics, athletics and outside life will be extremely beneficial for our student-athletes.”
Said Joh: “I want to thank Justin and the Athletic Department for giving me this opportunity. I’m so excited to join the Trojan Family and be a part of the rich legacy here at USC. I’m looking forward to being back in L.A. and assisting the student-athletes in any way I can to help continue to build this amazing program.”
Joh comes to USC following a one-year stint as the assistant coach at Cal State San Marcos, where the school won its third straight California Collegiate Athletic Association title. Joh helped redshirt sophomore Breann Horn earn WGCA Division II All-American first team honors and CCAA Player of the Year honors while Cougar golfers also earned CCAA Freshman and Newcomer of the Year accolades.
She joined San Marcos State after retiring from a successful LPGA career (2011-2021) that saw her total nearly $1.5 million in career earnings.
Joh, who received the Heather Farr Perseverance Award from the LPGA in 2017, had six career LPGA Top 10 finishes highlighted by a career-best second at the Navistar LPGA Classic in 2011 and a tie for third at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in 2019. She also finished her career with 20 top 20 results.
A 2009 UCLA graduate with a degree in communication, Joh was the program’s first four-time All-American during a stellar career as a Bruin between 2006-2009. She was a WGCA two-time All-American first teamer in 2006 and 2008 while earning second team honors in 2007 and honorable mention in 2009.
