Women’s Golf Announces 2022-23 Schedule


LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville’s women’s golf head coach Whitney Young announced the team’s 2022-23 schedule on Thursday.

The Cardinals will play in nine regular season tournaments, while hosting the Moon Golf Invitational.

 

Young kicks off her fourth season as the head coach of the Cardinals September 12-13 at the Cougar Classic at the College of Charleston.

 

Louisville travels to Norman Okla., to complete the month of September with the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 24-26, before opening the month of October with the competitive Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., on Oct. 3-5.

 

The Cardinals close out their fall season with the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Classic on Oct. 17-18 before co-hosting The Club at Olde Stone Intercollegiate with Western Kentucky on Oct. 24-25.

 

Louisville begins its spring season by hosting the Moon Golf Invitational for the seventh time on Feb. 19-21 in Melbourne, Florida, at the Suntree Golf Club.

 

After a three-week layoff, the Cards return to action March 10-12 for the Clover Cup in Mesa, Arizona. The regular season wraps up with back-to-back tournaments, beginning March 24-26 at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga., and then April 3-4 at the Wolfpack Match Play in Raleigh, N.C.

 

Louisville’s postseason begins at the ACC Championship April 13-16 in Greensboro, N.C., at the Sedgefield Country Club. The ACC Championship will be a 54-hole stroke-play event, with the top four teams advancing to a two-day match play event.

 

Three weeks later, the NCAA Regional’s will be held May 8-10, with the 2023 NCAA National Championship taking place at Grayhawk Golf Club May 19-24 in Tempe, Ariz.
