FANTASTIC FIELD READY TO TAKE ON ROSENDAELSCHE AT BIG GREEN EGG OPEN

The Ladies European Tour returns to the Netherlands this week for the Big Green Egg Open, and what will be the 19th event of an action-packed season.

The Tour returns to Rosendaelsche Golf Club in Arnhem for the four-day event, with the 119 player field ready to compete for the €250,000 purse in a 72-hole stroke-play event staged between July 14-17.

In a unique twist, the final two rounds will see fourballs of two professionals alongside two amateurs, with local talent able to showcase their skills among the LET’s stars as we head into the weekend.

The idyllic Dutch surroundings was the scene of Steph Kyriacou’s first professional victory last year, as the Australian talent overcame Sanna Nuutinen in a dramatic final day battle and eventually winning by two shots with two birdies in her final three holes.

And there will be plenty of talent on show once again this year, with Solheim Cup star Anna Nordqvist among those teeing it up when play gets underway on Thursday.

With the Amundi Evian Championship just around the corner, the Team Europe star will be looking to get acclimatised this week, and will be hoping for a strong showing to go into the Major week full of confidence.

And she will have a familiar face alongside them in the field this week, with two-time Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew also among the field as well as Becky Brewerton, who represented the Blue and Gold in 2007 and 2009.

2022 Tipsport Czech Ladies Open champion Jana Melichova is in the field this week, as she continues to adjust to life as a professional after winning as an amateur in her home country last month.

Race to Costa Del Sol #9 Whitney Hillier is the highest ranked LET player in the field in the current season, while Brewerton will be looking to move into the top ten as she sits in 12th spot heading into the week.

Alice Hewson will also be hoping for a strong performance in Holland, with the 2020 Investec South African Women’s Champion among a number of previous LET tournament winners in the field this week.

Diksha Dagar, Florentyna Parker and Camille Chevalier will all be in the field, as well as 2020 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open winner Amy Boulden.

2015 Pilsen Golf Masters champion Hannah Burke will also be starring in the Netherlands, as well as three-time winner Nuria Iturrioz, while Scotland’s Laura Beveridge will be looking to build on a career-best second place finish at the Estrella Damm Ladies Open last time out.
