BDC hit a drive of over 360 yards at the 6th to leave a short pitch in, makes birdie and now -3. Nice to actually get our eyes on him as barely seen him hit a shot this week.
HATS OFF TO RUTHERFORD
Jamie Rutherford is a great bloke and has got an amazing back story. In 2016 he decided to go for a jog before dinner in Portugal. He was then hit from behind by an out-of-control car which was travelling at 40-50 mph. The car then ended up on top of him. Rutherford had four broken vertebrae, torn ligaments in his knee, dislocated toes, a broken right foot and a variety of cuts and bruises.
Would be great if he can have a big weekend and get a nice pay cheque at the end of it.
SILVER MEDAL UPDATE
Not looking like going back with Sam Bairstow – he’s now +5 for the day. Aussie Aaron Jarvis has a clean card for his front nine, with two birdies, and he’s four back of Barclay Brown.
KISNER KEEPS GOING FORWARD
Two putts from Kisner and he’s now on -7, playing partner Trey Mullinax on -6 for the day. They’re now a betterball -10 thru (love saying that word) 14
HOW TO FILL YOUR DAY BEFORE A LATE TEE TIME
In among Faldo’s chatter you get some absolute nuggets – just explained how he would do it before a 4pm tee time. Would do a whole warm-up; hit balls, chip and putt, have a bit of lunch, probably a snooze and then do the warm-up again.Worked nicely for him.

Kisner’s day could get even better as he’s left himself a 20-footer (across the slope) up the hill at the 14th – would take him to -8 for the day. Made the cut on the number, could be within five of the lead
