SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah Men’s Golf head coach Garrett Clegg announced the 2022-23 schedule today, featuring five tournaments this fall and five regular season competitions in the spring before postseason play.
“Year-in and year-out, we work to strengthen our schedule,” Clegg said. “This year, we will be competing in some of the world’s best golf courses. We will be playing tournaments at Maidstone Golf Club, Isleworth, Harding Park and Bandon Dunes. We will be competing in five different time zones, on each coaches, and in Hawaii. It is going to be a great year to be a Ute.”
The Utes tee off in September, starting at the Fighting Irish Classic (Sept. 4-5), hosted by Notre Dame at the Warren Golf Club in South Bend, Ind. They then head back west for the Husky Invitational, put on by the University of Washington from Sept. 19-20 in Bremerton, Wash.
In October, the Utes will hit three corners of the country, spending time in New York, Oregon and Florida for the final three tournament of the fall season. The Utes take on the Hamptons Intercollegiate in East Hampton, N.Y., from Oct. 3-4 before coming back to the Pacific Northwest with a trip to Corvallis, Ore., for the Oregon State Invitational (Oct. 10-11).
Utah rounds out the fall slate of tournaments in Florida, competing in the Isleworth Collegiate in Isleworth, Fla., at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club from Oct. 23-25.
Starting things out in the spring, the Utes will head to Hawaii for the John Burns Intercollegiate in Lihue from Feb. 16-18 before coming back to the mainland for a three-day tournament in Palm Springs, Calif. for the Desert Intercollegiate (March 1-3).
Utah will once again compete in the Bandon Dunes Collegiate in Bandon, Ore. from March 12-14, also heading to San Francisco, Calif. for The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford, March 29-April 1. The Utes wrap up regular season play with a tournament in Phoenix, Ariz., competing in The Thunderbird from April 1
