STARS DESCEND ON SPAIN FOR ARAMCO TEAM SERIES – SOTOGRANDE

La Reserva

A star-studded field are set to play in this year’s Aramco Team Series – Sotogrande with top golfers from all over the world heading to La Reserva Club de Sotogrande.

The Aramco Team Series – Sotogrande will see an individual 54-hole stroke play tournament take place alongside a 36-hole Team event with each tournament having a prize pool of USD $500,000.

Within the field of 108 players are the Korda sisters with world number three Nelly in attendance, as well as world number 14 Jessica – who captained her Team to victory at last year’s Aramco Team Series – New York.

A host of Solheim Cup superstars will also be teeing it up in Spain with Anna Nordqvist, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Carlota Ciganda, Matilda Castren and Sophie Popov, who were all members of the winning European team in 2021.

But the Solheim Cup connections don’t stop there with two-time winning Catriona Matthew ready to take on the Aramco Team Series – Sotogrande once again, as will Germany’s Caroline Masson, Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall, England’s Bronte Law, Dutch star Anne Van Dam – who all won the 2019 Solheim Cup.

American Alison Lee, who won the Individual event at last year’s Aramco Team Series – Sotogrande, returns to the scene of her first professional victory and is seeking to defend her title.

Winners from the 2022 LET season will also be hoping to notch another victory with Linn Grant (Joburg Ladies Open, Mithra Belgian Ladies Open, Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed), Lee-Anne Pace (Investec SA Women’s Open), Ana Pelaez Trivino (Madrid Ladies Open), Manon De Roey (Aramco Team Series – Bangkok Individual), Tiia Koivisto (Jabra Ladies Open), Law (Aramco Team Series – London Individual) and Nordqvist (Big Green Egg Open) all playing.

Plus, there are plenty of winners from the Team events trying to add another accolade with winning captains from London and Bangkok – Nicole Garcia and Whitney Hillier – back for more success, as well as Olivia Cowan and Jessica Korda.

While seven of the top 10 in the 2022 Race to Costa del Sol will be vying to add more points as we head into the latter part of the season.
