Brian Harman What’s In The Bag?

A two-time winner on the PGA Tour, and a player with a runner-up finish at the 2017 US Open, Brian Harman (opens in new tab) has been on Tour for a number of years now so let’s take a look inside his bag. Harman, after having previously used a mixture of clubs from TaylorMade and Titleist, is now a staff player for the latter, using pretty much a full bag of clubs from the brand.

Starting at the top of the bag he has a Titleist TSi2 driver (opens in new tab) at nine degrees. He briefly tested out the smaller Titleist TSi3 (opens in new tab) model but the more forgiving TSi2 has gone back in and it looks to be staying. At address, we found the TSi2 to look generous in size but not too big that it looks chunky and unwieldy. It also has a more rounded toe compared to the previous TS2 which really adds to the inviting aesthetics. We also noticed how good it sounded through impact – a powerful acoustic thanks to the appealing ‘thud’ sound. As an overall package it neatly balances distance with forgiveness and consistency, making the Titleist TSi2 truly impressive.

Fairways

Moving on to the fairway woods Harman carries two Titleist model. The first is a 13.5 degree Titleist TSi2 model (opens in new tab), and he then also chooses to carry a Titleist TS2 fairway wood which has 16.5 degrees of loft. The TSi2 is a model that lots of Tour professionals have put in the bag because it launches nice and high and is super forgiving across the face, thanks to the deeper and lower CG. This makes it a thoroughly playable fairway wood for golfers up and down the handicap range.

Irons

Titleist U500, Titleist 620 CB

Shifting to the irons he carries three U500 utility irons from three-iron to five-iron. Then the rest of his irons are Titleist 620 CB’s and these go from six-iron down to pitching wedge.
