CHARLESTON, S.C. – Tennessee’s women’s golf team is set to commence its 2022-23 season at the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston.
The tournament will be a two-day, 54-hole event, with the opening two rounds scheduled for Monday, followed by round three on Tuesday.
LADY VOLS’ LINEUP
Bailey Davis
In her freshman campaign last year, Davis appeared in all 10 tournaments for the Lady Vols. Her best performance of the season came from The Ally in West Point, Mississippi, where she shot -7 to record her first top-10 finish (T6) of her collegiate career.
Vanessa Gilly
Entering her third season as a Lady Vol, Gilly notched a top-20 finish (T16) at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate last fall. Over the summer, the Caracas, Venezuela, native won the Campeona Nacional Amateur Match Play in Venezuela for the third time in her career.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
A freshman from Bangkok, Thailand, Chotikabhukkana logged stellar performances at several pro events last year, including a second-place finish at the TKG IPGA Championship.
Kayla Holden
Holden, who is entering her third year at UT, won the Sea Island Women’s Amateur in July. Last season, the Port St. Lucie, Florida, native recorded two top-20 finishes at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate (T19) and Clemson Invitational (T20).
Caroline Patterson
Entering her inaugural season at Tennessee, Patterson participated in the U.S. Women’s Amateur in August. In 2021, the freshman placed third at the Florida Girl’s Junior Championship.
