Tribus earns Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor


MADISON, Wis. — The Big Ten selected Clayton Tribus as the Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week for Sept. 14, 2022.

Tribus, a graduate transfer from Davidson College, finished tied for third with a 68-69=137 (-7) in his Wisconsin debut and helped lead the Badgers to a second-place finish at the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course.

Golfer of the Week

Clayton Tribus, Wisconsin

Gr. – Madison, Wis. – IMG Academy

  • Carded back-to-back below-par rounds for a total of 137 (-7) to tie for third and lead Wisconsin to a second-place team finish at the Badger Invitational in Verona, Wis.
  • Fired rounds of 68 and 69 to finish nearly five strokes below the course average of 73.53 for the week, highlighted by nine birdies
  • Recorded 34 of 36 holes at or below par, highlighted by a streak of 27 bogey-free holes to start the invitational
  • Collects his first career Golfer of the Week honor
  • Last Wisconsin Golfer of the Week: Cameron Huss (Nov. 4, 2021)
