» After opening with a 281 (-3), Michigan followed with a 287 (+3) and is sixth after day one of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate with an even-par 568 36-hole total at the Cherokee Country Club.

» Hailey Borja (68-71) and Mikaela Schulz (68-71) matched each other and are tied for 10th at 139 (-3).

» For the third straight season and the third time in her career, Borja tied her career-low with a round of 68 (-3) in the first round behind 12 pars, three birdies and an eagle.

» Schulz has nine total birdies in 36 holes. Her first round 68 (-3) was the fourth sub-70 tally of her career.

» Michigan will be paired with Kent State and Virginia Tech for the final round on Tuesday
