NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Utah men’s golf team received votes in the newest edition of the Bushnell/Golfweek Division I Coaches Poll, which was released on Friday.
The Utes have two tournaments under their belt so far in 2022, with their most recent competition being the Husky Invitational, where they finished eighth. Javier Barcos was the team’s top finisher for the second consecutive event, shooting 5-over and earning a share of 20th. Coach Garrett Clegg and his golfers are now preparing for the Hamptons Intercollegiate, which is scheduled for Oct. 3-4 in East Hampton, N.Y.
The Utes were one of seven Pac-12 squads included in the rankings, which were topped off by No. 1 Vanderbilt. Stanford tied for third with Arizona State three spots behind, Arizona at No. 23 and Washington 24th. Washington State and Oregon both joined Utah in receiving votes.
