JUNO BEACH, Fla. – No. 4 South Carolina is back for the second consecutive year at the highly coveted Jackson T. Stephens Cup. The format is the same again this year with 54 holes of stroke play (36 on day one) followed by a final day of match play based off stroke play results.
Last year the Gamecocks advanced to the championship vs. LSU, but fell 4-1.
Golf Channel is again providing TV coverage of the event every day. Coverage on Monday will run from 4 to 7 p.m. (ET) and 3 to 6 p.m. the final two days.
The Jackson T. Stephens Cup is an annual collegiate golf tournament named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman, Jackson T. Stephens, and launched in 2021. The tournament features NCAA Division I National Championship-contending men’s and women’s teams alongside collegiate players representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the United States Service Academies.
This year’s event takes place at Seminole Golf Club with Trinity Forest Golf Club (2023) and Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club (2024) on the docket in the future.
It’s another loaded field this week with No. 1 Stanford (defending National Champions), No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 8 LSU and No. 10 Duke.

Jackson T. Stephens and Warren A. Stephens
Jackson T. Stephens, affectionately known as Jack, was an extraordinary man. An astute investor, philanthropist, sportsman and avid golfer, Jack took up the game of golf later in life at age 36. He served as the fourth Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club from 1991-1998. Jack was drawn to the principles of the game of golf in the life lessons it taught him. To be successful in both, one must have character, be disciplined, and devote time to practice.
Warren Stephens, Jack’s son, joined his father in the investment banking business in 1981 and became President and CEO of Stephens Inc. in 1986. He continues in that role, including Chairman, as the second generation of leadership in the 89-year-old firm. Warren is the Jackson T. Stephens Cup tournament Chairman and founder.
