Griffiths' Hole-in-One Puts Cardinals in 4th After First Two Rounds


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –  The University of Louisville women’s golf team finished the first day of the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in fourth place overall. The Cardinals finished round one shooting 9-over-par 297 and shot 4-under-par 284 in round two.
 
The tournament was suspended due to lightning and round two for Kentucky, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, Duke, UNCW, Tennessee, and Rollins College will finish tomorrow at 9 a.m.
 
Sophomore Carmen Griffiths made her first career hole-in-one in the second round this afternoon. She leads the Cardinals in third place overall shooting 72-even-par in the first round followed by 5-under-par 67 in the second round.
 
Round three of the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational will begin tomorrow after round two concludes.
