Here are 10 players to watch on the CME bubble

Only three events remain on the LPGA schedule before the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, which means the heat is on in the Race to CME Globe. The top 60 players on the points list will qualify for the season finale in Naples, Florida, where anyone in the field can win the historic top prize in women’s golf of $2 million. The last player in this year’s field is guaranteed to make at least $40,000.

This week’s BMW Ladies Championship has a field of 78 players with no cut. A victory is worth 500 points, and a 10th-place finish garners 75. The TOTO Japan Classic in early November is another no-cut event, which means like the BMW, every LPGA player in the field will earn CME points, should she complete all four rounds.

Here are 10 players on the bubble heading down the final stretch:

Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis has been in a bit of a rut since she took third with teammate Maria Fassi at the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational in July. She won’t be competing in either of the Asian events, making her next appearance at the Pelican Women’s Championship.

Anna Nordqvist, a three-time major champion, looks to solidify her position inside the top 60 this week in South Korea. She has only one top-10 finish this season, a share of sixth, at the U.S. Women’s Open. The 35-year-old will compete in both Asian events.

After qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Open, Daniela Darquea didn’t make her first LPGA start of the season until the Dow Great Lakes team event, where she played tied for eighth with partner Karis Davidson. Darquea parlayed that into a T-11 at the ISPS Handa World Invitational and a runner-up at the AmazingCre Portland Classic.

This would be her first CME appearance.
