STOCKTON, Calif. – The Washington State men’s golf team looks to defend its team title at the Visit Stockton Invitational this week, as the Cougars head back to the Stockton Country Club looking to win their second-straight tournament in Northern California. The three-day tournament runs from Oct. 20-22.
The Course and Format
The 2022 Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational will be held at the Stockton Country Club, a par-71, 6,566-yard course in Stockton, California. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will feature 18 holes on each day starting Thursday, Oct. 20. The first round tees off at 8:30 a.m. PT, while the second and third rounds will begin at 8 a.m. PT.

In addition to WSU, the field will also include Pacific, George Washington, Utah Tech, Sacramento State, UC Irvine, UCSD, Temple, Idaho, Grand Canyon, Cal State Fullerton, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Northridge, UC Riverside, Fresno State, and San Jose State.

WSU’s Last Time at The Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational
Washington State capped off one of its best performances in school history during the 2021 Visit Stockton Invite. The Cougars posted their lowest three-round team score in program history by carding 816 (-36) to win the team championship. Senior Pono Yanagi and Junior Jaden Cantafio shot their best 18-hole score last season in Stockton after they each carded a single round 6-under; 65. Junior Preston Bebich posted the third-lowest three-round individual score in school history, as he carded 11-under par, 202.
Last Time Out
At the 2022 Oregon State Invitational, the Cougars posted a second-place finish to give WSU its second top-two finish of the fall.
