Buckeyes Finish First Two Rounds of Jim West Challenge – Ohio State Buckeyes

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Ohio State women’s golf team is tied for ninth place after completing the first two rounds of the Jim West Challenge on Sunday. The Buckeyes shot a 36-hole team score of 588 (+12).

Caley McGinty led the Buckeyes, firing a 71 (-1) in round one and carding a 74 (+2) in the second round. She is tied for 20th place with a total score of 145 (+1).

Faith Choi shot 75 (+3) in round one. She carded a 71 (-1) in the second round, shaving four strokes off her round one total. Choi is tied for 24th  place with a 36-hole score of 146 (+2).

Lauren Peter shot even par (72) in the first round of play and carded a 76 (+4) in round two to finish the day with a score of 148 (+4). She is tied for 37th place.

Kary Hollenbaugh is tied for 42nd place. She shot 75 (+3) in round one and 74 (+2) in round two for a total of 149 (+5).

Kailie Vongsaga carded scores of 75 (+3) and 82 (+10) for a 36-hole score of 157 (+13) and is tied for 73rd.

The final round of the Jim West Challenge will tee off at 8:00 a.m. CT on Monday, Oct. 24.
