COLUMBUS, Ga. – Three members of the No. 2 Wake Forest women’s golf team have been named to the Final Fall Watch List for the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel.
Seniors Rachel Kuehn and Lauren Walsh and sophomore Carolina Chacarra all earned a spot on the final list of the fall. All three players have been named to the watch list multiple times throughout their collegiate careers. Kuehn and Chacarra were both finalists for the award at the end of the 2021-22 season and were on this year’s preseason watch list.
Kuehn leads the team with a 70.17 stroke average and four top 15 finishes. She took home the individual stroke play title at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup two weeks ago after a tied for second place finish at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate two weeks prior. She started the season with a tied for 10th finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and most recently finished tied for 12th at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invite. She is currently ranked eighth among all NCAA Division I players according to Golfstat.
Chacarra is second on the team with a 70.44 stroke average through three events and two top five finishes and a top 20 finish. She started the season with a tied for 19th finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and went on to finish fourth at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate. She finished tied for third at the Stephens Cup, five strokes back from Kuehn’s first place finish. She is currently ranked 19th among all NCAA Division I players according to Golfstat.
Walsh is third on the team with a 71.00 stroke average through four events and three top 10 finishes. She started the fall season with her best finish, tied for second at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate. She was the third Demon Deacon inside the top 10 at the Stephens Cup, coming in at tied for eighth, and finished inside the top five, in a tie for fourth, most recently at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invite. She is currently ranked 31st among all NCAA Division I players according to Golfstat.
