Hokies finish up fall at Landfall Tradition

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team is set for its fall finale at the 20th annual Landfall Tradition hosted by UNC Wilmington at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. The three-day event begins Friday, Oct. 28 and runs through Sunday, Oct. 30.

All 18 teams will play 18 holes of stroke play each day. Friday’s opening round begins at 9:15 a.m. off the first hole for the Hokies, who are paired with UNCW and No. 2 Wake Forest. This will mark the third time Tech will tee it up at the Landfall Tradition, having played in the tournament in 2019 and 2021.

Annually attracting one of the strongest fields in women’s college golf, the Landfall Tradition will welcome five top-20 teams to the Pete Dye-designed layout. In addition to the second-ranked Demon Deacons, No. 4 South Carolina, No. 9 San Jose State, No. 11 Duke and No. 18 Florida State will compete this weekend.

Tech will once again travel Symone Henriques, Becca DiNunzio, Morgan Ketchum, Alyssa Montgomery and Ginnie Lee for its fourth tournament of the season. Henriques is coming off a top-10 performance at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational where she posted an even-par 216 to tie for eighth. The Hokies finished eighth as a team with an 890 (295-288-307).
