No. 4 Women’s Golf Preps for Fall Season Finale in Mexico


CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico. – Ole Miss women’s golf will look to close out their fall season Oct. 28-30 with the team’s fall season finale at the Battle at the Beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Club Campestre San Jose will play host to the 17-team event, marking the first of three international tournaments on the Rebels’ 2022-23 schedule.  

Friday, Oct. 28 – 18 holes of stroke play

Saturday, Oct. 29 – 18 holes of stroke play

Sunday, Oct. 30 – 18 holes of stroke play  

Andrea Lignell (Sr.*)

—  Leads the team with a stroke average of 70.11 in 2022-23

— Captured her first collegiate medalist finish at the season-opening Cougar Classic

— Shot a 204 (-9) at the Cougar Classic, marking a new career-low 54-hole score and tying her for the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history

— Won her second tournament title at The Ally, shooting a 213 (-3) on the week

— Also brought home a runner-up finish at the Blessings Invitational

— Named to ANNIKA Award Final Fall Watch List



Ellen Hume (Sr.*)


— Holds a season stroke average of 72.78 in 2022-23

— Started season off with a 13th place finish at the Cougar Classic

— Earned a third place finish at The Ally, shooting an even 216 on the week

— Six career top 20 finishes for the Rebels since joining the team for the 2020-21 season

— Co-Champion of the 2020 East Lake Cup after shooting a round of 69 (-3)



Chiara Tamburlini (Sr.*)


— Carries a 73.00 season stroke average in 2022-23

— Named to ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List

— 2021-22 WGCA First-Team All-American

— 2022 Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award winner

— Opened her 2022 fall season with a third place finish at the Blessings Invitational

— Named to ANNIKA Award Final Fall Watch List



Natacha Host Husted (So.)


— Holds stroke average of 73.11 on the 2022-23 season

— Grabbed a tie for 13th at the season-opening Cougar Classic

— Earned her second straight top 20 finish after finishing 18th at the Blessings Invite

— Finished in the top 20 once again at The Ally, claiming a share of 13th

— 2021-22 SEC All-Freshman Team selection



Nicole Gal (Fr.)


— Shooting a stroke average of 75.33 in her freshman campaign

— Made her collegiate debut for the Rebels at The Ally, where she finished tied for 25th

— 2022 USGA Girls’ Junior Championships Quarterfinalist
