Gamble sits in 14th heading into the final round of the Pac-12 Preview


KAILUA KONA, HAWAII – Sophomore Madelyn Gamble carded 1-under; 72 in the second round at the 2022 Pac-12 Preview, as she heads into the tournament’s final round in 14th place on the player leaderboard.

Gamble’s strong second round gives her a score of 146 (E) going into Wednesday’s finale. She will head into the third round tied for 14th on the player leaderboard.

As a team, Washington State concluded the second round of the 2022 Pac-12 Preview with a score of 305 (+13). The Cougars head into the final round in a tie for 10th with Washington on the team leaderboard, as WSU holds a two-round score of 610 (+26).

Fifth year senior Darcy Habgood shot 1-over; 74 in the second round to give her a total score of 4-over; 150. She is currently tied for 28th on the player leaderboard. Habgood collected an eagle on the 3rd hole, as she is one of six golfers in the tournament to card an eagle. Sophomore Emily Cadwell also sits inside the top 50 on the player leaderboard heading into the third round of the 2022 Pac-12 Preview, as she is tied for 43rd after carding 9-over; 155.

Stanford captured the first place on the team leaderboard in round two and will take a nine-stroke lead over Oregon into the third round, as the Cardinal hold a team score of 14-under; 570. Rose Zhang sits atop the player leaderboard at 9-under; 137 and takes a two-stroke lead over Oregon’s Ashleigh Park heading into Wednesday’s finale.

The third and final round of the 2022 Pac-12 Preview gets underway this Wednesday, November 2. The round will tee off at 10:30 a.m. PT.
