STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Mississippi State men’s golf spring schedule was released on Thursday, featuring five tournaments prior to the the SEC Championship.
The Bulldogs will begin their Spring 2023 campaign in Watersound, Florida, for the three-day Watersound Invitational hosted by Florida State. The event begins on February 19 and is MSU’s only competition that month.
The team will hit the road to the Grand Canyon State for the two-day Desert Mountain Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 5. The Bulldogs have finished first and second at that event in their three prior trips under head coach Dusty Smith.
MSU later heads to Statesboro, Georgia, for the Schenkel Invitational, hosted by Georgia Southern on March 17-19. In their two trips to the Schenkel under Smith, the Bulldogs have finished fourth twice.
April is State’s busiest month with three tournaments on the docket. The Bulldogs host their annual home event, the Mossy Oak Collegiate on April 3-4. Last spring, MSU tied for third, and State has never finished outside the top five at a home event under Smith.
The Bulldogs close the regular season at Vanderbilt’s Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee, on April 10-12. It will be their third trip to the event under Smith. The SEC Championship concludes the month in St. Simons Island, Georgia, on April 19-23rd.
NCAA Regionals will be played on May 15-17 at locations to be determined, followed by the NCAA Championship in Scottsdale, Arizona, on May 26-31.
