Justin Thomas (opens in new tab) has been a regular feature in the world’s top 10 for a number of years. He is also one of only four players to ever win a Major, WGC event, FedEx Cup and Players Championship, with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson the other three.
Throughout his success, his girlfriend, Jillian Wisniewski, has been by his side, supporting him at a number of tournaments. Get to know her a bit better here.
It is believed that the pair have been together since 2016, with Jillian being present for a few of her partner’s victories. For example, she was in attendance for his Players Championship win in 2021 (opens in new tab), as well as his 2019 BMW Championship victory at Medinah. Occasionally though, she does struggle to join Justin as he travels around the world, mainly because she is based in Chicago.
Like Thomas, Wisniewski is from Kentucky and graduated with a BA in Journalism from the University of Kentucky. Whilst there, she worked for the TV department and also worked at the school’s Student Centre.
According to her LinkedIn page, “My job at the UK Student Center involves me giving information to students and people visiting the campus.”
At university she was also part of the sorority, Phi Beta Phi, which she joined sometime after her freshman year. She has since taken up a role as Senior Business Manager at McGarry Bowen, an advertising agency in Chicago.
In 2017, Jillian famously almost missed Thomas (opens in new tab) winning his first Major title at the PGA Championship. Originally supposed to be on a later flight, she managed to catch an earlier one at the last minute, arriving at Quail Hollow Golf Club just in time to see Thomas lift the Wanamaker Trophy.
Thomas said of the event: “I truly felt like I was going to win. I remember my girlfriend was supposed to fly out at about 7pm and I was like, you need to change your flight. I just feel like I don’t want you to miss this. I feel like I’m going to get it done.”
