Women’s Golf Announces 2023 Schedule


STARKVILLE – After competing in five events in the fall, Mississippi State women’s golf has set its sights on the new year. This spring, the Bulldogs will be competing in five events across the United States from February through April.
 
State begins its spring campaign by traveling to Orlando, Fla. for the UCF Challenge on February 5-6. Eagle Creek Golf Club will set the stage for the 54-hole stroke play event hosted by the University of Central Florida.
 
After a short break, the Bulldogs will travel to Las Vegas, Nev. to compete in The Show February 20-21, hosted by UNLV. The two-day event will be played on the Par 72, 6,400-yard Spanish Trail Country Club greens.
 
MSU will open up the March portion of the schedule for the second consecutive year by traveling to Gainesville, Fla. for the VyStar Credit Union Gators Invitational on March 4-5. The two-day event takes place at the Mark Bostick Golf Course which is located on the University of Florida campus. In the 2022 edition, State was led by a pair of top-five performances from Hannah Levi and Julia Lopez Ramirez who both finished the tournament tied for fourth with two over par (212).
 
Two weeks later, the Bulldogs will travel to Phoenix, Ariz to compete in the PING/ASU Invitational on March 24-26. The three-day tournament is played at the Papago Golf Course and will serve as the end of the regular season for the Bulldogs. The PING/ASU Invitational will celebrate its 50th year in 2023 and features another loaded field, as the tournament consistently attracts the nation’s top teams.
 
The Greystone Golf and Country Club will play host to the SEC Women’s Golf Championship on April 12-16 for the tenth consecutive year. The 2023 event will mark the fifth time in which the championship will feature both stroke and match play, with match play on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16. Three rounds of stroke play will occur on the opening three days of the championship. The final round on Sunday will be televised nationally on the SEC Network.
 
The Bulldogs rounded out the fall slate ranked 11th by GolfStat and were consistently a consensus top-15 women’s golf program in the nation.
