Five Things to Know: FAU Paradise Invitational


MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women’s golf is back competing on the road to Boca Raton, Florida for the Paradise Invitational hosted by Florida Atlantic University. The 54-hole tournament will take place from February 6-7. 

Here are five things to know before the Badgers tee off:

1. Last Time Out: Wisconsin last competed back in October in TCU’s Battle at the Beach in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico where they placed 13th out of 17 teams with a +29. Vanessa Ho led the Badgers with a +4 to T29 while Gia Feliciano and Emily Lauterbach followed behind, both with a +8 to T47. Alexia Siehl shot a +9 to T50 and Nicole Ciskowski rounded out the lineup for Wisconsin with a +20 to T83. 

2. The Course: FAU’s Paradise Invitational will be held at Osprey Point Golf Course in Boca Raton, Florida. Built in 2010, this course features 27 holes grouped into three courses named Hawk, Raven and Falcon. The Invitational will be played on Raven and Falcon at 6204 yards as a par 72. 

3. The Tournament: The FAU Paradise Invitational will be played on Monday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 7, with 36 holes being played on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days begin at 7 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. 

4. The Field: Teams competing in the tournament are BYU, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Mercer University, Missouri, Nebraska, South Florida, UT-San Antonio, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin. In the lineup for the Badgers are Emily Lauterbach, Vanessa Ho, Gia Feliciano, Chloe Chan and Nicole Ciskowski. Carly Carter will be joining the team as an individual competitor.
