Lauterbach in lead for Badgers after two rounds


BOCA RATON, Fla. — Wisconsin women’s golf has completed the first day of the 2023 Paradise Invitational, carding a 590 (+14, 301, 289) to place 12th out of 14 teams. The Badgers are going into the final round of play led by Emily Lauterbach, who ended the day with an even par to T19. 

Monday, Feb. 6

Round 1

The Badgers completed round one with a +13, placing them in 14th. Lauterbach led Wisconsin with a +1 to T31, while Vanessa Ho trailed right behind with a +2 to T41. Gia Feliciano shot a +4 to T54 and Chloe Chan tallied a +6 to T61. Nicole Ciskowski rounded out the lineup for the Badgers, shooting a +7 to T64. Competing as an individual, Carly Carter completed the round with a +6 to T61. 

Round 2

Wisconsin improved their team score by 11 strokes between rounds to finish the day in 12th with a +1. Lauterbach once again led the Badgers, shooting a -1 to T19, while Chan also shot a -1, ending the day T44. Ho tallied a +1 to T33, while Feliciano trailed closely with a +2 to T53. Ciskowski completed the team lineup with a +5 to T67. Competing individually, Carter improved her score between rounds by six strokes, ending the round with a +2 to T63.
