The Bruins posted their best finish of the season last week at the Southwestern Invitational at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village. A strong day two and day three catapulted UCLA from ninth into a tie for fifth (+16). Sophomore Pablo Ereño tied for ninth (-1) for his first top 10 finish of the season and the second of his career. Ereño shot a 1-under 71 and a 3-under 69 in his first two rounds of the tournament.

On day three, senior Mason Greene recorded two eagles in his round of 1-under 71 to follow up his 2-under 70 on day two. It was the first time in his collegiate career that Greene posted back-to-back under par rounds. He tied for 25th (+6) for the best finish of his collegiate career when competing as a member of the starting five.
