The Washington men’s golf team returns to action this Wednesday through Friday, Feb. 8-10 at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate at Hapuna Golf Course, near Waimea on the Big Island of Hawai’i.

Wednesday’s first round gets underway with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Hawai’i Time (9:30 a.m. PT). UW will play with Auburn, Hawai’i-Hilo and Georgia Tech, and will start on holes one through three.

Last week, the No. 29-ranked Huskies opened the spring season with a fifth-place finish at the competitive Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif., with both Taehoon Song and Teddy Lin tying for seventh place on the individual leaderboard.

The Amer Ari will provide another very strong field of teams, including highly-ranked (Golfstat.com rankings) programs like No. 1 Auburn, No. 4 Arizona State, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Stanford, No. 10 Georgia Tech, No. 14 Pepperdine, No. 16 Oklahoma State, and No. 20 Texas among the 20-team field.

Here is the lineup for Washington:

1. Taehoon Song
2. Teddy Lin
3. Petr Hruby
4. Bo Peng
5. Aidan O’Hagan
Individuals: Drew Warford and Robert Galligan

The Amer Ari, co-hosted by the University of Hawai’i and Hawai’i-Hilo, began in 1992, and was previously held at the King’s Course in Waikoloa Village through 2019. Two Huskies have won the individual title: Nick Taylor in 2010 and Cheng-Tsung Pan in 2015. The Huskies shared the team title with UCLA in 2013.

Last year, the UW finished fifth as a team, with RJ Manke taking third place individually, with a 16-under 200.
