PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Washington women’s golf team moved up one spot into 15th after the second round at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge Monday at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Four of the five UW women improved on their first-round scores and the Huskies took eight strokes off of their first-round total, finishing Monday’s round with a team score of 15-over 299.
Sophomore Adithi Anand was Washington’s low scorer of the day, shooting a 2-over 73. After a 5-over first nine holes, she played her second nine 3-under, with three birdies and no bogies.
Camille Boyd still holds the lowest two-round score for the UW. A 4-over 75 leaves her 6-over for the tournament, tying her for 36th place.
Stefanie Deng’s round-two scorecard included three birdies, as she finished with a 3-over 74.
Brittany Kwon carded a 6-over 77 and Jamie Hsieh was 8-over for the round.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the third and final round.
