CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Thomas Detry, Nick Hardy, and Steve Stricker are all slated to return to action this week as Week 7 of the 2023 professional golf schedule rolls on for both the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions, while Brian Campbell is coming off a strong performance on the Korn Ferry Tour.
PGA TOUR
Hardy and Detry, who finished tied for 41st and tied for 37th, respectively, In their last outing two week’s ago at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, are both scheduled to tee off in the The Genesis Invitational at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
Detry enters the week ranked No. 19 on the 2023 FedEx Season Standings, while Hardy ranks inside the top 75 at No. 72. Detry also ranks No 88th in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), while Hardy gives the Illini three alums inside the top 200 at No. 182; Thomas Pieters, who is not scheduled to compete this week on the DP World Tour, is the highest-rated former Illini, currently ranked No. 34.
KORN FERRY TOUR
Brian Campbell finished tied for 17th last weekend at the Astara Golf Championship in Bogota, Colombia, posting rounds of 68-68-71-68 to finish at 8-under. The finish marked the best on Korn Ferry Tour for Campbell since tying for eighth at the BMW Charity Pro-Am in June of 2021, and secured his spot in the upcoming Club Car Championshpi in March.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS
Stricker returns to the course this week at the Chubb Classic at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. It marks his first event since his season-opening victory at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in January. The win marked was Stricker’s 12th on the PGA Tour Champions, to match the 12 he won during his stellar PGA Tour career.
