PALOS VERDES, Calif. – The Illinois women’s golf team ended the second round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in 10th place after carding a second round total of 292 (+8) heading into Tuesday’s final round at Palos Verdes Golf Club.

Crystal Wang moved into a tie for fifth place after posting a 69 (-2) in a round that featured four birdies and an eagle. Wang has finished in the Top 10 in four-straight events and in the Top 5 twice during that span.

Halama also carded an eagle during the round, bringing the Illini’s tournament total to three, the most among the field. They are also the only team to have more than one eagle through 36 holes of play.

Stanford leads the tournament at 570 (+2), with San Jose State 572 (+4), Southern California 577 (+9) rounding out the Top 3. Stanford’s Rose Zhang leads the field individually at -6 (136).
