PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The Washington women’s golf team improved for the second day in a row, posting its lowest team score of the week at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge Tuesday at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
 
The Huskies, led by junior Camille Boyd, shaved another two strokes off of their team total over Tuesday’s round, which was eight strokes lower than the round one total. With a 13-over 297, the Huskies finished with a three-round total of 903, good for 15th place.
 
Boyd carded the UW’s low round of the tournament today, posting an even-par 71 in her final round. Boyd notched three birdies and three bogies. For the tournament, Boyd tied for 25th at 6-over.
 
Jamie Hsieh spent much of the day in the red numbers, reaching 2-under, but a triple bogey on No. 13 resulted in a 2-over 73, the second-lowest among the five UW players Tuesday.
 
Brittany Kwon had her best round of the tournament, carding a 4-over 75 in the third round to finish 16-over. Adithi Anand was 7-over Tuesday, while Stefanie Deng scored a 9-over 80.
 
Washington will have nearly two weeks before returning to action Feb. 27-28 at the Gunrock Invitational in Sacramento, Calif.
