Bruins Finish 11th at Therese Hession Regional Challenge


PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – The No. 12 UCLA women’s golf team placed 11th out 16 teams at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club on Tuesday. The Bruins were 33-over par on the tournament and finished 27 strokes behind first-place No. 5 Oregon.
 
Zoe Antoinette Campos was UCLA’s top finisher in t-12th place at 2-over 215 (72-71-72). It was Campos’ fourth top-20 finish of the season. Stanford’s Rose Zhang was the tournament medalist at 6-under (68-68-71).
 
Annabel Wilson tied for 31st at 8-over (75-72-64). In round three Tuesday, Wilson eagled the par-5 16th and followed that hole with a birdie on 17.
 
Caroline Canales and Alessia Nobilio rounded out UCLA’s top four finishes at t-48th and t-50th, respectively.
 
UCLA will compete next at The Beach Invitational in Mission Viejo, Calif., on Feb. 27 and 28.
