Florida State juniors Frederick Kjettrup and Brett Roberts both fired 5-under par 67 to lead the third-place Seminoles in round two of the Watersound Invitational on Shark’s Tooth Golf Course in Panama City Beach, Fla.

FSU is 11-under heading into Tuesday’s final round.  Vanderbilt is in first place at 24-under after shooting 15-under on Monday’s second round.  Georgia Tech is in second place at 16-under.

Alabama is in fourth place two strokes behind the Seminoles and Mississippi State rounds out the top five teams at 4-under.

Kjettrup leads the tournament at 11-under after firing a 5-under 67 today after an opening round 66 yesterday.  He had six birdies during round two and his only bogey of the tournament to date was a putt that lipped out on No. 7.  He leads Georgia Tech’s Christo Lamprecht by one stroke.  FSU’s Roberts is tied for third overall at 9-under after carding a bogey-free 5-under par 68 today that included five birdies, three of which came over his last nine holes.

Freshman Luke Clanton is tied for 56th after shooting even par today, eight strokes better than his opening round.  Teammates Cole Anderson and Gray Albright both finished 3-over in the second round and sit at 2-over (32nd place) and 10-over respectively for the tournament.

Three Seminoles are playing as individuals and all are in the top 15 going into the final round tomorrow.  Michael Mays shot 4-under Monday and is tied for 9th at 9-under.  After shooting even par today, Jack Bigham sits at 3-under and tied for 11th.  Patrick McCann aced the 290-yard par 3 11th hole during a stretch where he was five under over five holes.  He finished 6-under on the day and is tied for 15th.

The Seminoles who were paired with Georgia Tech and Oklahoma State over the first two rounds will tee off at 8:30 a.m. EST Tuesday.
