WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue Athletics has announced operational information in the lead-up to construction beginning on the new Pete Dye Clubhouse at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex (BBGC).
Construction on the new clubhouse at the BBGC will include the closure and relocation of Cherry Lane, as well as changes to adjacent parking and course operations through the spring and summer months.
The clubhouse project was brought into reality by the generosity of golf alumnus Sam Allen (’75) and his wife, Purdue alumna Marsha Allen (’75), with the Allens’ transformational $20 million gift to the Purdue Research Foundation representing the largest single cash gift benefiting a facility in the history of Purdue Athletics.
Beginning March 6 and ending approximately July 31, Cherry Lane will open to local traffic only from the west beginning at the McCormick Road intersection and from the east at the Northwestern Avenue intersection.
Starting on March 15, the Ackerman-Allen Course will be open for public play and BBGC members. To the north, Kampen-Cosler course will open April 1 and be reserved for BBGC members, their guests and the Purdue Men’s and Women’s Golf squads.
