W. Golf’s Heath And Woad Named To Annika Award Watch List

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Charlotte Heath and Lottie Woad have been named to the first Spring Watch List for the ANNIKA Award which annually names the nation’s top women’s collegiate golfer.  Heath (70.35 stroke average) and Woad (69.59 stroke average) will lead the No. 12 Seminoles into the Valspar Augusta Invitational at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga., beginning Saturday.

With Heath and Woad on the watch list for the most prestigious award in women’s collegiate golf, Florida State, Stanford and Wake Forest are the only programs in the nation with multiple players on the 15-player list.  The Seminoles and the Demon Deacons are the only two teams from the ACC with players on the ANNIKA Watch List.

Heath and Woad will lead the Seminoles into the 10th Annual Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Club March 17-19 in their only home match of the year.  Fans and friends are welcome to walk each of the 18 holes on all three days, as the best in college golf comes to Tallahassee during the third week in March.

Heath (No. 9) and Woad (No. 2) are ranked in the top 10 of the Golfstat national individual rankings entering this weekend’s Valspar Augusta Invitational at the Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.  Both Heath and Woad are ranked among the nation’s top nine players according to Golfstat, making Florida State the only program in the nation with multiple players ranked among the top nine individuals nationally.

Heath, Woad and Seminole teammate Amelia Williamson will all play in the Fourth Annual Augusta National Women’s Amateur (March 29-April 1) at the famed Augusta National Golf Course.  Each of the top 45 eligible golfers in the 2022 final World Amateur Golf rankings were extended, and accepted, invitations to play in the ANWA.  It will be the first appearance at the ANWA for all three Florida State golfers.
