Women's Golf To Compete at Briar's Creek Invitational


JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. – Rutgers women’s golf looks to continue its strong spring season at the Briar’s Creek Invitation this week, hosted by the College of Charleston in South Carolina. 

The Scarlet Knights will compete in its strongest field of the spring, a group of 16 teams that features six ranked programs and five squads from the Big Ten. 

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, starting with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. They will play the final round on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. as well. 

RU is coming off a fifth-place finish at the  Westbrook Invitational that saw them set a number of record. The Scarlet Knights set a program record with a 54-hole score of 861, besting the previous mark by four strokes. The team’s third round score of 280 was the second-best round in program history, missing the team record by just one stroke.



Nicole Ewing had her best round for Rutgers, shattering her career low with a 4-under 68 in the final round of the event.
