Carolina women’s golf plays for the third time in the spring semester and eighth time overall this season when the Tar Heels tee off Friday through Sunday at the MountainView Collegiate at the MountainView Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.
The tournament, hosted in Arizona by Kansas State and Missouri, is the start of a busy stretch in which the Tar Heels will compete in four tournaments in five weeks, culminating in the 2023 ACC Championship April 13-16 in Greensboro.
Freshman Megan Streicher is coming off a 4-under-par finish at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla. The South Africa native shot 67-74-71 to tie for 17th.
Streicher is playing in the top spot for the Tar Heels in Tucson. Joining her in the lineup are junior Crista Izuzquiza, who shot even par in both final two rounds at Moon Golf, senior Kayla Smith, junior Natalia Aseguinolaza and freshman Vilde Nystrøm.
Golfstat ranks Carolina No. 50 in the country. The Tar Heels are one of 11 top-50 ranked teams in the field, including sixth-ranked San Jose State.

Texas Tech won the 2022 MountainView Collegiate at 25-under 839. Arkansas’ Kajal Mistry was medalist at 10-under 206 after rounds of 68-67-71.
