Clemson Finishes Fourth in Linger Longer Invitational – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson men’s golf fired a seven-under-par final round 281 to finish fourth in the 2023 Linger Longer Invitational. Clemson finished one shot better than No. 34 Georgia, nine shots better than No. 44 Arkansas and 26 shots better than No. 16 Virginia.

The Tigers seven-under-par round tied for second-best on the final day of the tournament with No. 11 Georgia Tech and second to No. 20 Alabama’s eight-under day.

Clemson finished the tournament three-over-par with Kian Rose leading the way finishing one-under-par for the tournament with a three-under final round. Rose tied his best round of the season with his second round at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate on Sept. 10, 2022.

The Tigers clinched their best tournament finish since the Ka’anapali Classic (Oct. 28-30, 2022). Andrew Swanson finished tied for 14th at one-over-par, while Jonathan Nielsen finished tied for 19th at two-over-par to give Clemson three finishers in the top 20.

Rose’s 71 was his ninth under par round of the year and included four birdies and one eagle.

The Tigers will return to the course from March 26-27 at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C. at the Country Club of Landfall.
