Freshmen Duo Leads Lady Vols Through Round One of Clemson Invitational


SUNSET, S.C. – Tennessee’s women’s golf team completed its first round of the Clemson Invitational on Friday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, with freshman duo Angela Arora and Manassanan Chotikabhukkana leading the Lady Vols at even par.
 
Arora logged an eagle on her second hole of the day, and birdied three consecutive holes on the back nine to notch her sixth round of par or better since joining the team in January 2023. Chotikabhukkana posted five birdies in 18 holes to record her 11th round of par or better this season. The pair is tied for 14th place ahead of the second round.
 
Vanessa Gilly shot +5 (77) in the first round and is tied for 49th place, while Caroline Patterson and Emily Hawkins both logged a 78 (+6) and are tied for 56th place ahead of Saturday. The Lady Vols are tied for ninth place at +11 (299) out of the 16-team field.
